In 2020, the Ibero-American Institute launched a series of talks dealing with multicultural modernity. In various lectures, scientists approach alternative conceptions of modernity, repeatedly focusing on the Latin American region. The goal of this series of events is to initiate a dialogue about the present and future of the Kulturforum as a forum of multiple modernities.

Past topics have included “Tradition, Innovation, Globalization – The Role of the Humanities in Modernities” and “Spaces of the Terrestrial and Alternative Modernities in Latin America.”
On 7th July the upcoming topic will be “Multiple, other, peripheral Moderns. A mid-term résumé”.

You can sign up and find out about the ongoing program in english and german language in the flyer above or on the Ibero-American Institute website.
