In 2021, Bruno Santamar\u00eda’s documentary “THINGS WE DARE TO DO” will celebrate its German premiere at DOK.fest Munich. In the “DOK.horizons” category, which shows films that tell stories from countries in transition, Santamar\u00eda’s work will be presented to an international audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

His documentary deals with the fate of a transgender woman living in a Mexican province. Every day she experiences exclusion and abuse because of her identity. “You are so brave,” says the Mexican director himself to Nono, the main character. The film portrays her courage and her life between glittering costumes and exclusion.<\/span><\/p>\n
