As such, the novel provides an interesting space from which to gauge the reach of both cyborgs and ghosts in engaging trauma. Unlike many hauntological works, where the main protagonist\u2014who functions as a synecdoche for an entire community\u2014brings about a healing of sorts by engaging with spectral voices from the past, the main character of this novel tells of past crimes in an attempt to bring the collective trauma of Monterrey to the fore. As the people of Monterrey become privy to the voice of the ghost, primarily through newspaper conversations, they recognize a shared trauma, and the resulting apocalypse is understandable. Far from liberating or cleansing, the voice of the <em>revenant <\/em>anchors the traumatized to their previous experiences with no hope of exorcizing the pain.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b0b0b0;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/tab][tab icon_family=&#8221;none&#8221; title=&#8221;Resumen&#8221; id=&#8221;1532705295639-39657-6df5&#8243; tab_id=&#8221;1547557827370-1&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b0b0b0;\"><em>Historias del s\u00e9ptimo sello <\/em>(2010), de Norma Yamille Cu\u00e9llar, es una novela que pone la teor\u00eda <em>hauntol\u00f3gica<\/em> en di\u00e1logo con la teor\u00eda cyborg ya que se trata de personajes que se comunican con los muertos a trav\u00e9s de la tecnolog\u00eda. Como tal, el texto nos brinda un espacio fascinante desde el cual podemos cuestionar hasta qu\u00e9 punto tanto el cyborg como el fantasma pueden navegar el trauma. A diferencia de muchas obras <em>hauntol\u00f3gicas<\/em>, donde el protagonista principal \u2014quien funciona como sin\u00e9cdoque de una comunidad entera\u2014 lleva a cabo cierta especie de sanaci\u00f3n al interactuarse con las voces espectrales del pasado, la protagonista de esta novela reporta los cr\u00edmenes del pasado en un intento de publicitar el trauma colectivo de Monterrey. Al enterarse de las palabras de los fantasmas regiomontanos \u2014algo que se logra mayormente a trav\u00e9s del peri\u00f3dico\u2014 el pueblo reconoce un trauma compartido, y el apocalipsis que resulta es de esperarse. Lejos de libertador (o sanador) la voz del <em>revenant<\/em> ancla a los traumatizados a sus experiencias anteriores sin esperanza de exorcizar el dolor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b0b0b0;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/tab][tab icon_family=&#8221;none&#8221;
