His captivity for 17 years, from 1642 until his death in 1659, made his prison known to the Viceroy and the King in Spain. In it he found the Judaizers who had arrived in that city from Portugal in search of economic improvements and freedom of worship. Coincided the years of 1642 to 1649 with these Crypto-Jews in jail and wrote a lawsuit against the Inquisitors for the bad treatment that was given to the prisoners and especially to them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b0b0b0;\">Guill\u00e9n de Lampart or Lamport as some called him was the defender of these Crypto-Jews, which came out in the four <em>autos de fe<\/em> of that 17<sup>th<\/sup> century, ending with the presence of the Judaizers in New Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/tab][tab icon_family=&#8221;none&#8221; title=&#8221;Resumen&#8221; id=&#8221;1532705295639-387bf-7cc9&#8243; tab_id=&#8221;1532707860595-9&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b0b0b0;\">El presente art\u00edculo pretende dar un panorama de la vida de un irl\u00e1ndes acusado por el Tribunal de la Inquisici\u00f3n en M\u00e9xico en el siglo XVII, considerado como hereje y rebelde que buscaba la independencia de la Nueva Espa\u00f1a. Su cautiverio durante 17 a\u00f1os a partir de 1642 hasta su muerte en 1659 hizo que su prisi\u00f3n fuera conocida por el Virrey y el Rey en Espa\u00f1a. En ella encontr\u00f3 a los judaizantes que desde Portugal hab\u00edan llegado a esa ciudad en busca de mejoras econ\u00f3micas y libertad de cultos.
