The International Colloquium of History of Women and Gender in Mexico
\n(REDMUGEN) is pleased to announce its Seventh Meeting, entitled
\n“Pushing Boundaries and Expanding Borders.” It will be held on the
\ncampus of the University of California, San Diego, on Friday March 3
\nand Saturday March 4, 2017.<\/p>\n

In keeping with its fifteen-year tradition, the conference welcomes
\nany proposals to present on any aspect of the history of women,
\ngender, and sexuality in Mexico. At the same time, the conference
\nencourages proposals for panels or round tables to address some or all
\nof the following topics:<\/p>\n

a) studies of migration\/immigration and gender\/women in the context of
\nMexico or Mexico to the United States (preferably in historical
\ncontext but contemporary would also be considered)<\/p>\n

b) the historiography of Northern Mexico and women, gender, and
\nsexuality in Northern Mexico<\/p>\n

c) the historiography\/study of women, gender, and sexuality on the
\nUS-Mexican border<\/p>\n

d) the historiography\/study of Mexican women and gender and sexuality
\nissues among Mexican immigrants in the United States<\/p>\n

e) cross-cultural communication\/collaboration among Mexican and US women<\/p>\n

f) sexual diversity<\/p>\n

h) sexual relations and sexuality in the context of
\nmigration\/immigration and international\/transcultural communication<\/p>\n

i) opportunities and challenges presented by digitization in providing
\naccess to sources for the history of gender, women, and sexuality in
\nMexico<\/p>\n

For paper proposals, please submit a 250-word abstract with your name,
\ninstitutional affilitation\/title, email address, and proposal title
\nto: redmugen@ucsd.edu<\/a><\/p>\n

For panel proposals with up to 3 presenters, please submit a title and
\n250-word abstract for your panel or roundtable, along with the name,
\ninstitutional affilitation\/title, email address, and proposal title
