This includes the authored books\u00a0<em>The Other in Contemporary Migrant Cinema. Imagining a New Europe?<\/em> (Routledge 2016), <em>La Conquista desbaratada <\/em>(&#8220;The conquest upside down&#8221;, Iberoamericana 2010),<em>\u00a0&#8220;<\/em>Conquered Conquerors&#8221; (<em>Eroberte Eroberer<\/em>, Vervuert 2005) and &#8220;Narrating against the Tide&#8221; (<em>Erz\u00e4hlen gegen den Strich<\/em>, Peter Lang 1996). He has also edited the first dossier on Hispanic film for the journal Iberoamericana, entitled\u00a0<em>La otra cara de la migraci\u00f3n<\/em>\u00a0(&#8220;The Other side of migration&#8221;, 2009), and co-edited the volumes<\/span><span style=\"color: #b0b0b0;\"> <em>Neo-colonial mentalities in contemporary Europe<\/em>\u00a0(with A. Ife, 2008), &#8220;Worlds of Images, Worlds of Texts, Worlds of Comics&#8221; (<em>Bilderwelten, Textwelten, Comicwelten<\/em>, with F. Leinen, 2007) and\u00a0<em>European Cinema: Inside Out<\/em>\u00a0(with R. Morgan-Tamosunas, 2003), and he is the author of more than 50 refereed articles and numerous review-articles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b0b0b0;\">While his research focuses on concepts of culture and identity in contemporary Hispanic narrative or film, other work explores socio-political and cultural aspects in French and German narrative.
